The inauguration of the MareNostrum 5 AI upgrade, hosted by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, will take place on the morning of Tuesday, 13 October 2026, in Barcelona, Spain.
MareNostrum 5 has been upgraded with specialised AI hardware and software to serve the wider AI community — from startups and SMEs to large industry and public administration — through the BSC AI Factory and other European AI Factories, strengthening Europe's AI capabilities.
