The acquisition and operation of the MareNostrum 5 EuroHPC supercomputer’s AI upgrade is funded jointly by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, through the Digital Europe Programme, as well as the Participating States: Spain, Portugal, and Türkiye. The Spanish co-fund is provided by the Spanish Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service, the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, and counts with the support of the Government of Catalonia, and in Portugal, by the Recovery and Resilience Fund (PRR).
